On February 22-24, 2025, independent anti-war and democratic Russian communities will hold a global action, “Three Years of Terror: Save Ukraine to Save the World."
Three years ago, on February 24, 2022, Putin’s government launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. On this date, Russians around the world will take to the streets to express solidarity with the people of Ukraine and mourn those killed in this criminal war.
Russians worldwide reaffirm their opposition to military aggression, territorial expansion, and authoritarian rule. They seek to make it clear to the international community that both pro-war rhetoric and the “peace at any cost” narrative pushed by the Kremlin are unacceptable and morally indefensible.
The global action is a reminder that Ukraine is fighting not only for its sovereignty but for the security of a peaceful and democratic Europe. This courageous nation has become a shield against aggression and violence, preventing them from spreading further. Participants in this global action will call on Western leaders to maintain unwavering support for Ukraine and provide the country with the necessary security guarantees.
As part of this global campaign, activists are raising funds to provide portable power stations for hospitals and schools in Ukraine through the initiative
“Energy for Life.”Additionally, participants will support the
“People First” campaign, an international effort advocating for the release of civilians forcibly detained as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. This initiative is led by a coalition of human rights organizations from various countries.
